Notes: After working for an evening, catering to a wine club event, I received a bit of down time. And what else do I do with it? Fill it with photo taking pseudo-popular sunset shots! Oh JOY! 3 Shot HDR. +2,0,-2 Nothin' else to say about it really...

Notes: From New Zealand... I haven't been inspired by stuff around here lately. Guess I have to go back. What a loss. On the way to Blenheim, from Queenstown. It's along that SH1 somewhere. ;)

Time of day: 3.45pm PDT
Aperture: f/16.0

Notes: Driving on my way to a fantastic (only later to find out it wasn't) camping trip, one of the viewpoints along HWY 20 overlooks a large expanse of the Deschutes National Forest. Sure, this is probably a normal touristy type of shot, but whatever. If I had more time, I would have hiked down the hill to take the pictures. My co-driver was not too happy about stopping at this place. Reminder - never go camping with non-photographers. Mount Washington on the horizon (pointy one) and Black Butte on the left, horizon, kinda just a big hill.

Aperture: f/16.0

Notes: This would have to be the first storm I've ever really felt uncomfortable in. Thunder and lightning like crazy. Then again, it wasn't really the thunder and lightning I was afraid of, it was all the dry brush that was in the forest that I was in that made me nervous. That whole place would have gone up in smoke in a matter of minutes. Anyway... This as taken just a bit before dark. I was hoping I could get some nice color out of the clouds, but was only greeted with the ominous black from above. Not bad, but really not what I was looking for.

Notes: Not much needing to be explained here... hand held shot, from lying on the ground. Split Toned in Adobe Camera RAW, then saved it as a JPG, as with a couple other edits. Nothing in the actual Photoshop program.

Location: Dayton, Oregon
Time of day: 8.42pm PDT
Aperture: f/3.5

Notes: UPDATE July 19 - 3:09AM: So, after Geo-Tagging it, Flickr has come to the conclusion that the field this was taken in is located in Dayton, OR. Go figure. Taken just outside of Dayton, on the way to McMinnville, OR. I presume it's *technically* within the city limits of Dayton, but I don't really care. You make the call, it's Geo-Tagged. A word or six about the shot: Three exposures. -2, -1, 0. (Shooting higher than 0 was just pointless) because it would completely wash out the sky, and 0 got all the grass exposed just nicely) Each exposure was taken in RAW format. Tripod mounted. What else need I say?
