Hey, yo, so here's the deal: I've been thinking long and hard about this, and I can't really find a way around it. I would like to get into the independent film business.

Ok, that's kind of a lie. I haven't been thinking for too long (maybe a couple weeks?) or too hard about it - I've just been seeing some videos online. They've gotten my noodle goin' a bit, and I'm now under some sort of impression (temporary, or permanent I'm not sure) that I'm s'posed to make videos.

That's PERFECT you say. I know, right? Genius. Except... not. Only problem (regarding this topic) is that I don't have a video camera. While I'm in Australia, I plan to upgrade to the 5DMKII (Canon) or the 7D. Both of those cameras take beautiful HD video, and I think that having that form of media added to my repertoire would be beneficial to anyone that would be looking at hiring someone with experience (for say, the independent film business?).

If not independent film, it would be great for advertising.

I'm aware that it'd take a lot of work and patience, but I think I could do it.
